Set in a small Vancouver Island town, this drama follows the frustrations of a young unemployed man, whose father is also unemployed due to the economic recession in the area. A West German photojournalist comes to town and has an affair with the young man. Later, he is arrested for vandalism and is sentenced to compulsory community work.
