Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Murphy Brown launches its sixth season with the introduction of a new recurring character, handsome globetrotting journalist Peter Hunt (played by former Quantum Leap star Scott Bakula). While the rest of the "FYI" staff bristles over Peter's arrogance, Murphy (Candice Bergen) barely acknowledges the man's existence, wrapped up as she is in the wellbeing of her son Avery. Eventually, the two biggest egos in the "FYI" newsroom confront one another--only to find out that they have a lot in common (and will have a lot MORE as the season progresses!)
