Thanks to Murphy's off-screen needling, Jim (Charles Kimbrough) loses control of himself on the air for the first time in her career, collapsing in helpless laughter. But it's not so funny when Jim goes into seclusion, so terrified that the public will remember him only for his one embarrassing gaffe that he refuses to ever step before the cameras again. It is therefore up to Murphy (Candice Bergen) to (once again!) undo the damage she has done.
