Synopsis
He was an unassuming, mild-mannered science teacher beloved by students and faculty at Jefferson Junior High. Comedian Wally Cox, who made a career of playing milquetoast characters, was perfectly cast as Robinson Peepers, a small-town Midwesterner with thick glasses and an oddball charm. The May 23, 1954, episode of 'Mr. Peepers' brought a new excitement to TV audiences: It featured the new medium's first major series wedding, this one between Peepers and school nurse Nancy Remington.
