At one point in time, Mossville, Louisiana was a busy, beautiful, and predominantly black neighborhood. Then, petrochemical companies started building plants near their community, poisoning the flora of the place and ultimately driving everyone away. Mossville: When Great Trees Fall is a documentary that revolves around Stacey Ryan, the last person living in Mossville, and his fight for his home. Despite the power, water, and supplies being cut off, he remains steadfast and committed to claiming what is his. Written and directed by Alexander Glustrom.
