Synopsis by Hal Erickson
San Francisco is held in the grip of terror by a serial murderer known as the Six Way Killer, so called because he invariably dispatches his victims in six different "styles". In his efforts to track down the murderer, Monk (Tony Shalhoub) is forced to put up with Federal Agent Thorpe (Chris Williams), who prefers "CSI"-style forensic technology to Monk's old-fashioned deductions. With only 36 hours remaining to solve the case before the killer strikes again, Monk bypasses Thorpe's grandstanding methods to focus on a seemingly unrelated murder. Meanwhile, Lt. Disher (Jason Gray-Stanford) puts his life on the line again--for what may the very last time.
