Synopsis by Steve Blackburn

The 1991 baseball World Series championship featured the Minnesota Twins battling the Atlanta Braves. These two teams had finished at the bottom of the heap in the prior season, so some sports writers quipped that this was a Series where both teams were underdogs. This video features highlights from the seventh game, with three of the games going into extra innings. A final pitch decides four of the games. Highlights include game-saving catches, series-saving homeruns, and controversial calls by the umpires. Jack Morris wins the World Series Most Valuable Player Award for his pitching performance throughout the series, especially his amazing ten-inning complete game shutout that helps Minnesota win game seven and the series.
