Synopsis by John Patrick Sheehan
This video highlights the 1999 World Series between the New York Yankees and the Atlanta Braves. The series ended in a tremendous win for New York as they were able to sweep the Braves in four straight games. The MVP of the series was Yankee relief pitcher Mariano Rivera who came in to constantly close down the Braves, late in the games. The Yankees leave their mark as one of the best teams in history as they became the first team since the 1993 Toronto Blue Jays to win back-to-back titles.
