Brooks Robinson's strong batting performance played a key role in the Baltimore Orioles' four-games-to-one victory over the Cincinnati Reds in the 1970 World Series. The Reds' top hitters, Johnny Bench and Lee May, were simply no match for the Orioles. Pete Rose was also kept from doing his best, thanks to the Orioles' strong pitching efforts.
