Synopsis by Eleanor Mannikka

This documentary is about an actual mix-up of two baby girls at a hospital, with the unsuspecting parents raising the wrong daughters. The incident occurred in 1936 in Nottingham, England. A Mrs. Wheeler and a Mrs. Rylatt each gave birth to a daughter at almost the same time and went home with the wrong baby because of a bureaucratic snafu. Mrs. Wheeler had always suspected she had the wrong baby but it was not until the daughters were 20 years old that the truth came out and they met their real parents. The rest of the documentary concerns the adjustment of the families and the daughters to their new situation.
