Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Jackie Holbrook (Margarita Fischer) has been promised to a nobleman by her socially ambitious father. Jackie, however, prefers the company of the servants and because of her friendship with the cook's son, she winds up disguised as a sailor, headed out to sea on a ship. The captain's mission is to save a professor and his daughter from some island natives. But when he lands, he is captured and the islanders' high priest intends to use him as a sacrifice. Jackie helps save him, but then the two of them are at the mercy of a nasty jungle creature until they are saved by the rest of the crew. Only when they get back to port does the captain realize that Jackie is a girl -then, of course, he is compelled to marry her. Miss Jackie of the Navy was directed by star Fischer's husband, Harry A. Pollard. The film proved popular enough to warrant a sequel, ingeniously titled Miss Jackie of the Army.
