Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Mirza Nowrouz' Shoes is a disarming Iranian children's story. Ali Nassirian plays a wealthy man who insists upon trudging around town in a tacky old pair of shoes. Losing both his wife and his prestige because of this eccentricity, the man breaks down and buys new shoes. But the old shoes assume a life of their own, faithfully dogging their previous owner's trail. And you thought the Iranian film industry didn't have a sense of humor.
