Developed by prolific British TV writer Johnny Byrne, the short-lived serial Miracles Take Longer was set in a busy community advice center. The largely female cast appeared as the center's staffers and "customers," bringing more than their share of problems to the forefront. Patsy Byrne headed the cast as Betty Hackforth. Four 30-minute episodes of Miracles Take Longer were carried by Thames Television in 1984.
