Synopsis by Clarke Fountain
This historical drama, based on a play by romantic era dramatist Heinrich von Kleist, tells of the transformation worked in the life of a horse trader who, in the law courts, is robbed of his horses by a conniving local aristocrat. He becomes a revolutionary hero and works to bring justice to peasants, preventing the rich from oppressing them wherever possible.
