From 1910 to 1951, operatic vocalist Lotte Lehmann was regarded as one of the world's most gifted artists on the classical stage, and after she retired from performing, she sought to share her years of experience with gifted newcomers through a series of master classes held at respected music schools throughout the United States. Lotte Lehmann Master Classes, Vol. 2 -- Opera was filmed in July of 1961 as Lehmann led her charges through a class at the Music Academy of the West. Lehmann here shares stories and technical advice as she guides budding singers through arias from Le Nozze di Figaro, Lohengrin, Fidelio, and other classics of the operatic repertoire.
