Synopsis by Rose of Sharon Winter
Because of a baby's small stature and tender bone structure, massage has to be geared especially to meet the needs of an infant. Massage specialist Michelle Kluck teaches the proper technique in approaching a baby for a gentle massage, which soothes, limbers, and stretches the young one. There are specific instructions on massaging areas of the body, starting with the feet, and working upwards to the head. Kluck cites a wide range of benefits in doing massage with infants, from pain reduction to weight gain.
