Synopsis by Hal Erickson
After a near-death experience, Charles Winchester (David Ogden Stiers) becomes obsessed with his own mortality. This leads to an uncharateristic spell of introspection for the otherwise bombastic Charles. As for the other doctors, they have their hands full wrestling with a massive new-duty assignment. "The Life You Save" was the final episode of M*A*S*H's ninth season.
