Thanks to the creative bookkeeping of Peg Bundy (Katey Sagal), the family files a tax return that comes up short by about $5000. To avoid being thrown in jail, Al (Ed O'Neill) casts about for some fast money--and thinks he finds it when a married couple (Paul Coutos, Coleen Maloney) is willing to purchase Peg's hair. Meanwhile, Steve Rhodes (David Garrison) reveals more information than his wife Marcy (Amanda Bearse) is willing to hear. This is the last episode to feature David Garrison as a regular, but not the last to be telecast.
