Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Panic grips the bank where Steve (David Garrison) works when the vault comes up a million dollars short. The Bundy family assumes that their patriarch Al (Ed O'Neill) has snatched the dough during a nocturnal visit to the vault (where he played cards with Steve)--and accordingly, Peg (Katey Sagal) and the kids treat Al like a hero. Basking in all this attention, Al begins to wish that he really was a thief. . .but if that were the case, Season Two of Married. . .With Children would have been over and done with after only three episodes.
