Synopsis by Sandra Brennan
This often funny fantasy is partly based on the memoirs of a German general who attempted to invade Paris during WW I. It is also based on the visions of the film's director. The story centers on the general, and a young woman with whom he had an affair many years before. With a deft mixture of past, and present, the real general's memoirs are presented along with his battle plans, and photos. In addition to the main story, the director, Gutman, begins his own, highly imaginative tale that has little or nothing to do with the general's story.
