Synopsis by Janiss Garza

This undistinguished Northwest drama was one of the first directing efforts by screenwriter Finis Fox, who, later in the decade, penned the screenplays for Ramona and Evangeline. Jimmy, an elderly miner (Bobby Mack), is fond of reading the lonely hearts ads in a matrimonial paper. His pal, handsome Mountie Bruce MacDonald (Jack Livingston) finds this pastime amusing. But one day, Jimmy -- who never wed after a failed love affair in his youth -- decides to run his own ad, using the identity of MacDonald. Kitty Roshay (Ethel Shannon) playfully answers the ad and she winds up meeting and falling in love with MacDonald. MacDonald's mother is brutally murdered by a robber who steals her cameo. Kitty herself becomes embroiled in another murder investigation in which she winds up being the prime suspect. Eventually, the real murderess is apprehended, and the man who killed MacDonald's mother (Kate Anderson) also gets his due. MacDonald and Kitty end the film together.
