Synopsis by Hal Erickson
This French seafaring melodrama was released in English-speaking countries as The Last Blow. Jean Murat stars as a cargo-boat skipper who holds his wife (Danielle Parcia) in a grip of terror thanks to his baseless jealousy. Taking charge of a new boat, the skipper is unaware that his wife has stowed away on the vessel, hoping to escape her brutish husband. When the boat crashes into an ocean liner, he proves himself a worthy hubby after all by saving his wife from a watery grave. This blood-and-thunder material is offset by the comic relief of Arnaudy, cast as a brainless ship's passenger.
