Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Judging from silent films, the West had a mining town every couple miles or so. In this particular film, and this particular mining town, manly William Farnum sees his partner go crazy and commit suicide. He works to make sure the man's stepsister (Betty Schade) gets her rights. But the villain steals the girl away by convincing her that Farnum was the crazy one and that he killed her stepbrother. In a saloon, our hero saves a woman (Betty Hart) from being beaten by her boyfriend, and in turn, she wheedles the truth out of the villain. Farnum stops the man from burning down the mine's electric plant and reunites with the formerly wary stepsister.
