In this children's adventure story, based on a beloved novel by Sigfrid Siwertz, three youngsters steal a small boat to play on Lake Malarn and soon capsize it. Later, they steal a larger boat and quickly discover that the lake is much larger than they had imagined. They learn about issues of survival and friendship, and a great deal of mysterious stuff happens while the adults in their world search frantically for them.
