This anti-war film finds American soldier Brian (Gibson Kemp) stationed in West Berlin. He is almost certain to be sent to Vietnam, and he deserts to avoid the inevitable. Brian meets and makes friends with a local girl. When a taxi driver is murdered, the suspect is an American army regular. A fearful local man suspects the deserter and reports Brian to the police. Although he is innocent of the crime, Brian is tracked by the police and tragedy ensues.
