Synopsis by Clarke Fountain
A mine in a provincial area of Turkey is somewhat carelessly run, and unnecessary cave-ins result in the death of some mine workers. Fed up with the carnage, the miners go out on strike, even though they are harassed by thugs hired by the mine owners. In a side-story, a married miner has a brief romance with a girl from a visiting carnival act, but she wants permanence and he is not interested in getting a divorce.
