Synopsis by Janiss Garza

By the latter half of 1920 Alla Nazimova's popularity was beginning to wane, and this weak picture didn't help matters. Adapted by Nazimova herself from a Saturday Evening Post story by Rita Weiman, it tells the story of Jane Goring (Nazimova), who leaves her humble surroundings -- including her husband and little daughter -- to pursue a stage career. She becomes a big success, but her stardom is threatened by a rival, Gloria Cromwell who, unbeknownst to Jane, is her own grown-up daughter (also played by Nazimova). They both land roles in the same play and Jane watches Gloria steal her thunder. Finally she begins to feel twinges of guilt over the way she has treated her family and goes home to her old mother. Her husband arrives with Gloria and (in a typically upbeat, Hollywood-style ending) they are all happily reunited.
