This video is about the ancient land of Macedonia, located north of Greece and home to Phillip II, whose son, Alexander the Great, once tried to conquer the world. The program, directed by Zinon Ramos, focuses on the cultural history of Macedonia, visiting many museums and archeological sites. Greek scholar and archeologist Dimitri Pandermalis hosts the show, and provides insightful commentary. The film profiles Aina, the historical birthplace of the Macedonians; Aiges, also called Vergina, the necropolis of Macedonian kings; Dion, the nation's holy city; and Pella, the ancient capital of Macedonia.
