Synopsis by Hal Erickson
The Spanish/Brazilian Luzia is one of a dying breed: an old-fashioned western. The central character seeks revenge when villains kill the character's mother and father. The next step is to take a job as a ranch hand on the spread owned by those responsible for the murders. We said "old fashioned," and it is, except in one respect: the protagonist is a woman, played con brio by Claudia Ohana. Released directly to video in the US, Luzia has its share of violence and nudity, so exercise judgment when kids are present.
