Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Sam Blevins (Albert Ray) is a country boy who, much to the consternation of his parents (George Hernandez and Maggie Halloway Fisher), is neglecting his farm work in favor of a correspondence course. The subject of the course is "how to be a newspaper reporter," and eventually the boy heads for the city to find out first hand. But the paper's editor turns down all his stories until he is helped by another reporter, Ethel Williams (Elinor Fair). She suggests a story for the Sunday supplement section about a princess who has run away to America. This time the story runs. But then Sam has a dream that the Princess is actually Ethel, and an archduke from her country (H.C. Simmons) has come for her. He wakes up to find that the girl is still just plain Ethel, which is fine by him, and he proposes.
