Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
As Charlie's strange behavior to become increasingly suspicious, the tensions between Locke and Sayid quickly boil to the surface after the latter makes an explosive discovery. After waking up on the island to find Charlie preparing a picnic, Claire notices some migratory birds with radio tags flying overhead and suspects that the survivors could be rescued if they could only capture one of the birds. Later, Claire flashes back to the time when she and her mother were in a devastating car accident, and her mother was left in a coma due to severe head trauma. After Claire's aunt Lindsey assures her grieving niece that the medical bills have all been paid for, Dr. Christian Shepard arrives to visit Clair's mother and make an important revelation. Back on the island, Locke, Kate, Sayid, Rosseau, and Mikhail spot what appears to be the Others' security perimeter - a series of cement pylons that continue far into the jungle. While Mikhail claims that the system hasn't worked for years, Locke proves otherwise by pushing him between the pylons. On another part of the island, Claire, Jin, and Sun find their attempt to capture one of the birds thwarted by he gunshots that sound out as Desmond and Charlie hunt for boar. Later, Sayid makes a disturbing discovery in Locke's bag as the group attempts to figure out a way through the security system, and Desmond make a disturbing comment about a tragic accident involving Charlie.
