Synopsis by Robert Firsching
Filipino filmmaker Eddie Romero (Mad Doctor of Blood Island) directed this somewhat implausible World War II adventure. Ramon (Leopoldo Salcedo) is the leader of a band of guerrillas who fight the Japanese in order to save some stranded American refugees. Before it's all over, there is an encounter with pygmies, a romance between Ramon and an American girl (Diane Jergens), and a ridiculous plot twist involving a cobra. As silly as it is, The Lost Battalion can be a lot of fun at 2 a.m. for bleary-eyed insomniacs.
