A three-part series, the Look and Learn -- Elementary Age collection presents a well-paced program examining basic and complex elements of science, technology, and geography. Concepts are explored with the use of archival material, live-action, and computer animation. Look and Learn -- Elementary Age: Bridges examines man's ongoing attempts to build a better bridge. Bridge history and types are explored. The program presents construction methods and materials used to construct aqueducts, cantilevers, piers, viaducts, and suspension bridges. Viewers visit the longest suspension bridge in the world and learn how these unique structures work. Other programs in the series are Look and Learn -- Elementary Age: The Frog's Life Cycle and Look and Lean -- Elementary Age: The Mechanics of Toys.
