Synopsis by Mark Deming
The Long Knives tells the true story of the men of the United States Cavalry and the role they played in the taming of the Wild West. Told largely in their own words, the film documents the exploits of men who put their lives on the line for a mere eight dollars a month, and often set out in battle against Indian warriors with little or no chance of survival.
