Synopsis by Sandra Brennan
This Japanese drama presents the biography of popular Japanese writer Fumiko Hayashi. The story begins as she is born to her poor parents. She eventually goes to school, but must drop out to support herself by taking a series of odd jobs. Along the way, she has several affairs with a variety of men--not all of them nice. Time passes and she writes an autobiographical novel. She then continued writing until she died in 1951.
