Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Nora Blake (stage actress Sallie Fisher in her screen debut) is a girl from the tenements who has worked her way up to become the personal secretary of Henry Hyman, the owner of a jewelry store. Hyman trusts Nora so much that he wants her to take over the family business until his two idle sons become responsible. But he dies before finalizing the arrangement and his crooked manager, Travers, takes over. Travers has already stolen a $3,000 necklace and given it to Lucille, the fickle fiancée of Joseph Hyman (Richard C. Travers). Travers continues this kind of dishonesty, giving credit to people like Lucille's deadbeat mother (Florence Oberle), until the store is nearly bankrupt. When Joseph is crippled in a car wreck, Lucille breaks off the engagement. Nora finally exposes Travers and has him arrested. She then reveals a note written by the elder Hyman giving her charge of the store. The mercenary characters of Lucille and her mother are revealed, so Nora wins Joseph's heart.
