Synopsis by Janiss Garza
In a rough 'n' tough lumber camp, Bonnie (Violet Mersereau) is a mistreated drudge working in a bar run by Joe Gaskell (James O'Neill). Lumber foreman "Bull" Dorgan (John Mackin) wants to marry her, but playwright Arthur Wharton (Sidney Mason) appears and takes a brotherly interest in her. Wharton believes that he is in love with Elinor Grenville (Clara Beyers), a woman who married for money. Bonnie, attempting to get away from Dorgan, hides in Wharton's cabin, and Wharton marries her to protect her name. For a year, he leaves his new bride -- whom he has come to love -- with his sister (Helen Lindroth) while he goes to Japan. When he returns, Elinor is a widow and she wants him back. But her attempts to ruin Bonnie's reputation and marriage are unsuccessful, and Wharton sticks firmly by his young wife.
