Synopsis by Hal Erickson
The Ingalls family takes a special interest in young Graham Stewart (Johnny Lee), the son of alcoholic farmer John Stewart (Harris Yulin). Embittered over the death of his wife, John takes it out on Graham in the form of regular, brutal beatings. While Caroline (Karen Grassle) offers a safe harbor for Graham, Charles (Michael Landon) makes it his mission to rehabilitate the elder Stewart.
