The internal conflict of an art history professor involved in terrorism is the centerpoint of this psychological drama. Pierfrancesco (Girogio Giacomini) does not seem to have a clear political base for his connections to terrorists, though that does not stop him from joining in their activities. When his mask comes off in a gunfight, his identity is revealed for the entire nation to see on the television news, changing his life for good. His friends desert him, and he has no choice but to go into hiding. Now his dilemma is whether or not to sneak across the border and find safety outside the country, a dangerous proposition in itself.
