Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein
Former motorcycle daredevil Charles Hutchison produced, directed, and starred in this ten-chapter serial co-starring his wife, Edith Thornton. The story, about a secret service agent attempting to capture a gang of blackmailers, wasn't much but according to surviving stills, Hutchison climbed up and down walls, did his usual motorcycle stunts, and performed other daring feats, doubled in some cases by Joe Cuny. Produced by Hutchison's own firm, Hurricane Film Company, Lightning Hutch failed to compete with the more streamlined product from Universal and Pathé and proved the last serial to be released by Arrow. The chapterplay was re-released as a feature in 1930, this time with added sound effects and a music score.
