The poisoned Kate Arnold (Ann Little) is saved in the nick of time by the ghostly Mystery Woman (Jill Woodward) who, to the astonishment of Lightning Bryce (Jack Hoxie), appears out of nowhere with an antidote. Back in town, Powder Solvang (Paul Hurst) attempts to deflect the sheriff's (Yakima Canutt) suspicion by shipping a box containing the treasure by stage. The ploy misfires, however, and Solvang is forced to flee. Lightning once again takes up the chase, which ends with a gun duel in a burning farmhouse.
