Synopsis by Tracie Cooper

Directed by Karen Murray, Life's Evening Hour chronicles real life photographer John Dugdale's ordeal after contracting AIDS. Once a successful commericial photographer, AIDS-related blindness forced Dugdale to buy a special camera designed to accomodate what vision he had left. Thus, his career turned purely artistic; he gained a wide selection of fans in the process, one of which includes singer and AIDS activist Elton John. This documentary follows the development of Dugdale's second book, as well as his latest gallery show, "The Unanswered Question," which features a year's worth of his own life in pictures.
