Artists and filmmakers Ondrej Brody and Kristofer Paetau were invited to take part in a special show at the Higher Institute for Fine Arts in Antwerp, Belgium, and decided to add a special performance piece to their repertoire for the occasion. As a handful of digital video cameras rolled, Brody and Paetau grabbed the curator of the exhibit, tied him to a pole, pulled down his trousers and began aggressively showing him their appreciation for being allowed to present their work (though the curator seems less than enthusiastic about the event). At once a transgressive performance work and a satiric comment on the business of art, Licking Curator's Ass was screened in competition at the 2007 Rotterdam International Film Festival.
