The home-video release Les Contes d'Hoffmann (The Tales of Hoffmann) is a filmed record of a Milan-based production of Jacques Offenbach's opera, which was originally staged posthumously, in 1881. The cast features Alfredo Kraus as Hoffmann, Ruth Welting as Olympia, Jolanta Omilian as Giuletta, Barbara Hendricks as Antonia, and Elena Zilio in a triple role as Nicklausse, The Voice of Lindorf, and Coppelius.
