In this sad and poetic documentary, a Greek Cypriot returns briefly to the long-abandoned village he was born in, on the Turkish side of the line which divides that island, partitioned in 1964. Ruined Byzantine churches are only some of the lost treasures he mourns, along with a lifestyle which permitted people with Greek Orthodox roots and Turkish Muslim roots to live side by side.
