Everybody overreacts when Beaver (Jerry Mathers) gets an unusually high score on an IQ test. Ward (Hugh Beaumont) and June (Barbara Billingsley) are all but bursting with pride, while principal Miss Rayburn (Doris Packer) is convinced that our hero should be enrolled in a school for gifted children. It's quite a jolt for Beaver, therefore, when he is informed that his score was accidentally switched with that of another student -- and now he's got to tell everyone he's the same old "dumb" Beav.
