Ward (Hugh Beaumont) brags to his neighbors the Wilsons about how his sons Beaver (Jerry Mathers) and Wally (Tony Dow) have an unusual mature sense of responsibility. As a result, the boys are engaged to babysit for the Wilson's impish four-year-old daughter, Puddin' (Gabrielle). Alas, no sooner have the Wilsons and their parents left for the evening than Beav and Wally are confronted with a cataclysmic crisis. Little Puddin' has locked herself in the Cleaver bathroom and refuses to come out! Without tipping off the outcome of the story, it can be noted that veteran character actor Will Wright appears in the episode as "Pete at Firehouse Number Seven."
