Wally's old pal Johnny Franklin (Barry Curtis), now enrolled in a military academy, pays a visit to Mayfield. Johnny's stories about the marvels of his education have a stunning effect on Wally (Tony Dow), who now insists that his parents ship him off to the same academy. Though greatly worried that Wally is in for a big disappointment, Ward (Hugh Beaumont) and June (Barbara Billingsley) agree not to stand in their son's way -- but as it turns out, it is Wally who stands in his own way!
