This documentary on the treasures of France's Louvre museum was made for Japanese television. Parts of the museum building itself, which the public never sees, are shown, as well as a quick sampling of the museum's many treasures, from archaeological artifacts of ancient Egypt to works by the great impressionists. An effort has been made to connect the Louvre with its Parisian setting by telling a story about an actor's comings and goings.
