Synopsis by Janiss Garza
Once again, director William Parke directs his son William Parker Jr. and Gladys Hulette in this drama. Here they play brother and sister -- Gordon and Lucy Carnaby. When their mother (Eugenie Woodward) dies, they find themselves nearly penniless. Throughout the generations, the Carnaby name has never been sullied by scandal, but Gordon seems intent on spoiling that record by gambling himself into severe indebtedness to Charles Etheredge (Paul Everton), a denizen of the underworld. Etheredge finds an opportunity to attack Lucy and Gordon kills him. Lucy forces him to run away, and she takes the blame for the crime, explaining that her virtue was violated. But Gordon can't stand to see his sister ruining her own reputation, so he returns to save her.
